Weekend, Weekend, why have you gone by so fast

So I had one of the best weekends ever, I got to spend it with really awesome people, and was reminded how Blessed I am, of my love for family, friends, and most of all my wonderful husband!

Nathan grew up with a best friend named David! David moved down to Arkansas when Nathan was 14 or 15 I think. They stayed in touch and David was Nathan's bestman in our wedding. David is now living in California with his gf and her family. Nathan misses him a lot!! Anyways David and Laura came for a visit this past weekend and we were only suppose to hang out Friday, but we ended up staying the whole weekend down with David, Laura, and his family.

Friday, we went to Fast lanes played a couple games of bowling. Played some games in the arcade, then played in the newly designed (well new to us, I'm not exactly sure how new it is. LOL) lazer tag! Then we went back to Randy & Judy's for some grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and a lavish spread of sides! Then we just hung out and played board games starting with monopoly and ending with Nathan, David, and I playing Risk. Which may I add is a very fun game, as long as I'm winning which I didn't. haha I hate to lose!! =P

Saturday David, Laura, Ray, and Randy all went to the game, Judy stayed home to work on school work, Tiffany went to work, and Nathan and I went and walked around the mall. Where I got some adorable owl earrings and necklace originally $16 for just $4!! Yes, that's me bragging, because I love a good deal!! We got tired of walking around so we went back to the house. Played a game of Risk, I won this time. Then waited watched tv until the gang got back from the game. When they got back, we decided we'd stay another night. Played more risk, had a good dinner prepared by Judy and Laura. I never knew a sandwich bar could look so pretty! After dinner we watched Red Lights, which was ok. Then we went out and sat around the new fire pit. It was nice to just hang out.

Sunday we woke up, Judy, Tiffany, and I made breakfast and man was it good! Eggs, french toast, sausage, chocolate milk, orange juice, and coffee. After breakfast we just lounged around. Spent some more time in front of the fire pit. Then played a couple of games of bean bag toss, or whatever it's called. LOL Then we all got ready to head out. We went to this beautiful place called Crystal Bridges and I'm so glad they let Nathan and I tag along!! That place was so awesome, and so beautiful! I want to go back so I can walk the trails more. Then we went and ate at this really good Mexican restaurant called Abuelo's. Then we had to leave to head back so Nathan could get ready for bed because he had to work today.

When we were leaving I realized how much of a impact living so far away has on Nathan and David's friendship. He was crying, I felt so helpless. I really hate that David is so far away, I wish they'd move back so my love could have his best friend back. It's so easy for me to just go out and make a new friend, but Nathan already has his life long friend in David. Also David's family hugged us and told us to come back anytime even if David wasn't there, or if we needed any help with things which was unexpected for me, because this was the first time I'd spent so much time with them. They definately made me feel like family and loved.

With all that said, I had such an amazing weekend and God continues to show me how Blessed I am, and I'm so thankful for that!! Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend as well! Happy Monday and have a Blessed week!
