I will trust in you Lord

So those that follow know Nathan had applied for a manager position at his work, and all seemed very promising!! Well found out a couple days ago he did not get the job. Which was really hard for me because it seemed like that's what would be. But I'm so proud of my husband, he was not bitter nor angry or anything. All he said was "Obviously it wasn't God's plan, there must be something better!" Which made me stop and think.

Today on his lunch break, he text me and told me he found out one of his best friends since childhood got the job. Again I was crushed for him, and again he surprised me with "I'm excited for him, I'm working on something better." I hope to gain this mind set back soon.

Before my mom passed away, Nathan and I were both doing so well. Now it's like, I've taken a complete JUMP backwards not a step. I feel myself struggling to get back to that place I once was. I don't know when it will happen, but I know it will eventually.

I also found out one of my best friends, someone who has grown to be more of a sister to me who I can rely on whenever I need to. Is moving 3 hours away. Now to most you'd read that and say, well that's not too bad. Well now she lives like 5 minutes away, whenever I want I can just go over and hang. So this will be hard for me. Especially since there aren't many people I have in my life I can rely on like that.

Overall I can feel change is coming and well to be honest, I'm scared. Normally I handle change pretty well. But something feels different about this change and I'm scared. But all I can do is trust in the Lord. I know He won't give me anything I can't handle. I have to stay strong, and when I'm not strong I have to rely on HIM!!

Getting to know me

So a friend of mine posted this on HER BLOG, so I thought I would do this since it's a new year and what not. =]

 

What song do you listen to when you're feeling down? : I actually have a playlist of songs on my youtube called "This Is Deep". When I'm feeling down I listen to those, most are songs from my moms funeral and that's normally what gets me down so...LOL

 

Do you drink Tea or Coffee? : Both!! =]

 

Tell us an embarrassing story. : Well about a week ago my friend and I were out shopping for my Valentine's Day mini session props and I had a really BAD itch on the back of my thigh. Well we were exhausted and so everything was funny and I wasn't in the most correct mindset so to say. Well we were in Romancing the Stone in the mall, and it was itching. So I said really loud cause I thought we were the only shoppers Below my butt-cheek itches soooooo bad, I'm itching it!! Well then this lady comes walking up behind me then when she is in front of me, turns around and just stares at me in shock! I was like "Sorry, I'm not itching my butt-cheek I swear, it's below my butt-cheek." Then she walks off, well me being well me. Just had to shout out to her "It was my thigh not my butt-cheek". She just kept walking! LOL

 

How many languages can you speak? :  That would be one. And it's funny you ask. I'm what my sister calls a "MUT", I'm part American, part, Mexican, and part Indian. Now you'd think since I have Mexican blood running through my veins I would pick up Spanish pretty easily. HA that would be a negative! I actually took 2 1/2 years of Spanish and COULD NOT retain a single thing besides a few basic sentences and phrases! Crazy I know!! My Mexican side of my family laugh! 

 

What was the last board game you played? : The last board game I played would be RISK! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that game, and we played it for hours!

 

What was the last book you read? : Jesus Freaks by DC Talk

 

Have you ever walked into a glass door? : Uh, yes...those that know me would know I'd be lying if I said no. haha

 

Who's your biggest celebrity crush? : I don't really have one. I mean sure there are famous guys I think are good looking. But I don't really have a crush on any.

 

Do you believe in marriage? : Not at all!! LOL jk jk Yes with everything I am, it's such a beautiful thing when you find or when you witness someone find their missing piece, the one that completes them! Love you husband!! =]

 

What is one thing you'd like to change/fix? : I think the biggest thing I would like to change is being able to trust God more. I am notorious for letting things go, then picking them back up.
